Malcolm won one silver and eight gold medals...yes...EIGHT GOLD MEDALS between 1966 and 1976 in the International Six Day Trials,

Malcolm then went on to go on to win FOUR Baja 500's and SIX Baja 1000 off road races (three in a car and three on motorcycles).

Malcolm is a two-time winner of the Mint 400; and a two-time winner of the Roof of Africa Rallye. As a tune-up for the Paris-Dakar Rally in 1987 he won the 1987 Rallye D’Atlas in Morocco in an off-road buggy.

Malcolm Smith was inducted into the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America in 1996 and the Motorcycle Hall of Fame in 1998.
