Round 1 of the POZZANI SILKOLENE SHORTTRACK UK CHAMPIONSHIP kicks off this weekend MAY 3rd at 1pm the Norkfolk Arena, Kings Lynn. With the largest entry of riders in Shorttrack history, more classes than ever before and more races than before, it will be one that the race fans must not miss.!!!!!
The Shorttrack Class will see 46 riders battle it out on the track. Italian and UK's #1 Marco Belli will start the defence of his fourth title but he will have his work cut out, with one of the strongest fields ever seen in the UK trying to take his plate with star riders like Pete Boast, Ade Collins, Steve Hall, Tim Greig, Ben Wells, Glyn Pocklington, Andrew Moore and his team mate young Tom Woolley to name a few.
Supporting Classes include the REDMAX Thunderbikes - 24 riders racing machines up to 1000cc that should only be ridden on big 1/2 mile tracks, not the 380 metre oval at Lynn. The Shorttrack Junior Class sees riders from 8 to 15 years olds racing on 80cc to 250 machines.
Shorttrack Quads, 12 of the fastest sideways quad riders in the country battling it out with 6 in a race - It's MAD!
Shorttrack Mini Bikes, this is a new class for the 2009 season with two types of bike - the small wheeled machines and the 150 Xtrail flattrack machines all racing together ,it should produce some fun racing.
35 race programe.

Gates open at 12pm, with racing at 1pm. Admission - Adults £10, Cons £8, Juniors(12 to 15) £3, Kids under 12 free.
