Shop mates are seriously underrated. Mine has now sadly gone to the big workshop in the sky following an altercation with a four wheeled assasin, but I do miss the small hairy interest in anything oily and likely to be knocked over. That and the thundering of paws on the shed roof just as you're trying to do something really fiddly or have your head far enough under the bench to concuss yourself when the noise makes you jump.
I like cats, but I struggle to eat a whole one. G
