Time 17.45pm on tuesday day four of Dakar. Have just spoken to Stan Watt (rider 110) on the sat phone at the bivowac. He had to stop for an injured Chiliean rider on stage who hit the face of a Wadi and was knocked unconcious. He lost approx 45 min's until the race organiser Ettiene Lavine arrived in a helicopter before he could continue. He is hopeful that he will be re-inbursed with his lost time which can be verified by the iri-track on board system that all competitors have. Great news as all us brits tracking his progress thought he had struck trouble when he had not arrived at the 419 km mark when predicted. Well done mate, keep it up!!!
