Ade Collins won Round 1 of the Pozzani Silkolene ShorttrackUK

Championship 2009. Ade was on top form riding the Buckingham Van Sales
Honda, he won his opening heat race and his Semi Final to take pole for
the Grand Final. Marco Belli riding the factory CCM won the other Semi
Final from a hard charging Andrew Moore on the woods Rotax.
Ade hole shotted the 12 lap grand final from Belli, Moore and Pete
Boast
and by lap 2 he started to pull away from Marco who had Andrew Moore
trying every thing to pass him. On lap 4 Moorey just missed Belli's
back
wheel by inches and ran off the grove dropping back to 8th place. Tim
Greig on the ASR Honda took advantage and moved past Boast to take up
third spot. On lap 6 Geoff Baldock went down mid pack with Justin
Hargate on the Helmets4u Honda having to lay his bike down to miss him
and the race was stopped.
The restart was in the form of a line out and once again Collins got
the
start from Belli ,Greig , Boast and Glyn Pocklington in 5th spot.
Collins edged a lead out in the next 4 laps, Greig and Boast were
pressuring Belli but by the Final lap Ade Collins took a great win with
Marco holding to second and Tim Greig taking third spot.

Alan Hooker holds Number one plate again !

12 of some of the best Quad riders gave the spectators some of the best
action of the day with some fantastic close racing and a few incidents
n the heat races. The B final was declared to Paul Munnery after the
race was stopped due to a crash involving Chris Wright , who we are
pleased to say was ok after a ride in the ambulance. The final was a
great battle up front between Alan and Charlie Welbourne, with Alan
riding the two stroke and Charlie the big 520 four stroke. Charlie
tried
everything to get past but Alan held his line and took the win!
